Now that you have written your manuscript, rewrote it several times, and have reread it hundreds of times, you should keep in mind that not even best selling authors have written a perfect manuscript without the help of experienced editors. It is important to hire a seasoned editor with at least 10 years experience and have published work of their own. Before committing to one, you should always ask to see a sample first. Send them two or three pages of your work and get a sense of what they can do for you.
